Long-distance move from South Carolina to Ohio

Absolute criminals. Use anyone else. Get private insurance.

These guys will hire a garbage mover for you. All of your things will be broken. They will ignore you when asked about insurance, and will not help you when you need to make a claim. They will direct you to the mover they hired, who is (I’m serious) some random Russian dude with a truck. They intentionally low ball you to get your attention - I hope these guys mess with the wrong psychopath one day. They broke 10k worth of my things and offered me 100 dollars.

Long-distance move from Georgia to Arkansas

Scammers!

They quoted me a "minimum move" which included a short list of items (one dresser, one tv) and up to 62 medium boxes for a cross country move from Atlanta to Los Angeles.

I moved a total of 36 items - most of them small and medium boxes, a large tv (boxed). Upon pickup (AFTER they have loaded my things on their truck), they increased my price by 33% for "space" which was never properly measured or proven (and largely dependent on how well they are able to pack things tightly). My belongings fell well below what was included in the quote. (All of my stuff fit on ONE elevator ride!)

Additionally I had made arrangements in advance to use a credit card on pick up, and they demanded cash. This was a huge burden on me because I wasn't planning or budgeted to have that kind of cash flow disruption.

After the fact, they offered me a $100 credit, but ONLY if I removed any bad reviews (they had the nerve to send that in an email!!) This company is UNETHICAL and steals from its customers.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY - They are a broker and do not have good relationships with the moving companies to ensure their quotes are adhered to. It's the classic moving scam - and I don't know how to avoid it except to help others by warning them of my experience.

Long-distance move from Miami, FL to Tewksbury, MA

Amazing and beyond my expectations!

I was extremely skeptical of using a full service moving company after the horror stories I have read online but this company really exceeded my expectations! From the first phone call they put me at ease by answering all the questions I had very honestly (and believe me there were a lot of questions)! Throughout the moving process their customer service department was always readily available when I needed assistance. I won't say there were no hiccups but everything was very minor and always addressed immediately by Trinity Relocation! I would highly recommend this company to even my closest friends and family and should I plan a move again in the future, I know who I can call! Thanks for making a stressful time in my life just a little easier guys!

Long-distance move from Maryland to Texas

Late but everything worked out fine.

Total cost, $1,810. Trinity Relocation Group (or Patriot Relocation Corp) helped me with my move from the east coast to central. They were scheduled to come on a Sunday between 12-2pm. They called and said it would be later since they ran late with another move. They finally showed up after 10pm and loaded up the truck with my stuff before midnight. My neighbors hated me for that, but I needed to get my items out of the apt. before that Monday (the next day). Even though they were extremely late, the packing job that they did was great and they got to work right away. No BS. After an hour and 10 minutes, they were done loading the truck. I was charged an extra fee for the 2 flights of stairs that were at the apt. complex. They met me in TX two and a half weeks later. I was charged an extra fee for the space between the truck and the storage unit. (The first 75 feet is free, after that, they charge you.) You need to do your part by packing your items accordingly. If you take extra items, like vacuums and mirrors, they will charge extra as more care is required for fragile items. Buy appropriate boxes for the items you want to keep secure. They will wrap your couch and tables but if you're leaving it in storage, they remove the wrapping and it is up to you to wrap your furniture that goes in storage. Initial pricing: $1633. Ending price: $1810. Three stars. If they were not late that one day, I would have given 4 stars. Payment options: you can pay with a check, money order, or cash for the first half of the move, then when they get to the destination, it's money order or cash only. I would suggest paying with a check the first time and then money order the second time to keep a record that you did indeed pay and no surprises later. All in all, a bit stressful due to lateness but it went well and everything worked out.

Long-distance move from Torrance, CA to Melissa, TX

Worst

DO NOT HIRE! Hired Trinity to move from California to Texas. Sent the worst subcontractors, Cross Country Relocation Services. Upon inspection of our items, many things broken or missing. Filed claim within the allotted time. Cross country went out of business and Trinity is refusing to cover our claim. Round and round with DOT and FMCSA to no avail.

Long-distance move from Chicago, IL to Richmond, VA

Scammy sales practices, DO NOT USE

Move was from Chicago to Virginia. My sales rep was Kevin. I’ve read all the reviews and many have confirmed my suspicions.

This is their ploy:

1. Give you a quote after you list your items.

2. Tell the moving company they contract out that you have “Y” about of things when you REALLY have Yx3 amount of things.

3. Movers arrive and say “this is more inventory than you told us (lie) and charge you additional money (my price went from $3k to $5800k and I had to pay.)

We unexpectedly sold our 3 seater sofa AND love seat which SHOULD have dramatically dropped the move price. Instead we were charged 2.5k more! HOW IS IT POSSIBLE to drop 2 couches off the list and still be over space allotment. This exact trap “rate baiting” has happened to many others. DO NOT USE.

Long-distance move from Florida to New Jersey

They are a bunch of con-men

They are NOT a moving company, but a broker. They find you a moving company. I needed an 8x10 storage unit cleared out after my father died and the contents moved from Florida to New Jersey. They doubled the price upon pick-up and DEMANDED more than $2000 CASH, so you can't dispute it and you are stuck! They BROKE all of my items and LOST MY MOTHER'S ASHES!!! They REFUSE to do anything about it. They are just the worst! I am so upset and they won't do anything. DO NOT USE!!!

Long-distance move from Puyallup, WA to Tallahassee, FL

Trinity= Will not return calls, will not take responsibility.

Great price, nice salesperson, Trinity hired Best Movers. When best Movers came out, they wanted 2k more? Hard spot to be in when day of move and moving across county from WA to FL. Best movers crashed into walls coming downstairs and huge holes. Household items missed delivery date. Best movers took several weeks to figure out where our truck was. 2 months later a different company came out from Orlando. Helper was complaining about not being paid for 4 hour drive time to Tallahassee with driver in one of our guest bedrooms. TV damaged with large hole in center of box through TV. Many house household items missing. Mover said file it with Best Movers and left. Trinity was contacted several times. Easy way to get in contact is act like you are setting up new move or you will not reach them due to caller ID. But in the end no return call. Horrible, criminal company Trinity is. Not sure how they are 4 starts. Spend more and use different company to avoid Trinity.

Long-distance move from Livermore, CA to Middleton, ID

Do not use these guys...

They are really pointless and there is no value in using them. We were moving from Calif to Idaho...and the moving company they picked was "Best Moving Lines", which was a total joke. Why would they chose a company to move us that was rated at one star, and it had been rated that way for over 10 years? There is literally no reason at all to use this company.

Long-distance move from Little Rock, AR to Arlington, VA

Regrettable experience.

Regrettable experience. The booking process was great. They rescheduled my first move, which wasn't even a big deal. However, the movers were 5-6 hours late on the day of pick-up. Trinity did not answer any phones after 5:00PM EST like I was led to believe. I called every extension leaving messages and no one got back with me. I had no other option but to move on that day, as I also had to make a trip that night, and they did not seem phased that I might miss it. At no point did anyone from Trinity call to say the movers would be late nor did they call in the following days to see that I got picked up. Upon delivery my mattress was not on the truck. I have constantly gotten cross-talk from Trinity, the carrier, and the driver. One says they are trying but cannot reach the other, yet I can get ahold of someone when I call. The carrier blames Trinity, while they blame the carrier. I see all the other reviews on here are positive, and that's great for them, but I feel screwed over. Eventually, after a couple weeks at this point, Trinity called to offer a claim. The amount hinged on deleting or amending my previous review to be more positive. The amount offered was a nice gesture, but I am looking at several hundred dollars in rectifying this situation (new memory foam mattress, bedding which I packed on the mattress, and the cost of movers to deliver it). Also, I now have to potentially miss a day of work depending on when my new mattress is delivered. I just wanted my things back, or a reimbursement to total the cost of replacement, and to forget the moving experience. If I have to suck it up and not take a claim so that I can leave up what I feel is an accurate review, so be it. I am just glad to cut my losses and move on from the whole situation.

Official company response

Seth,
Once again we sincerely apologize for any and all negative experiences throughout your move process. We understand moving is stressful, and when something like this happens, it can only exacerbate that stress. Unfortunately no matter how hard we try, there can always potentially be a lost and/or damaged item. Due to your election of standard cargo protection at $0.60/lb per article on your bill of lading, you are eligible for limited coverage on your lost mattress. As we have discussed at length, we are here to walk you through this process and get money back from the insurance company. Our $150 credit was NOT an offering of a claim; it was a client credit we were applying for a negative experience. It had nothing to do with being contingent on removing or editing a review.
As your review states, you can always get ahold of us. We are always here for our clients. We would like to get your claim stated-please contact our office ASAP to get the ball rolling.
